Hi All,

My first post, so firstly - hello all.

I've just bought my second picasso (a Desire model) and I was hoping that perhaps citroen had upgraded the speakers from my old 2000 model - but no, still the no range tinny pieces of <censored>. So I'm gonna take matters into my own hands and replace the 4 in the door speakers with something better.

This is where you guys come in (I hope). Can you recommend a make / model of speaker that won't break the bank and can easily replace the current speakers. And, can you tell me how to gain access to the speakers without breaking anything ;-)

Cheers, Jake

Guide to installing the speakers is on the sister site. Specifically for the picasso so they are likely to be able to help you more over there. With any technical problems.

Can give you some recommendations for speakers etc though if you give me a budget to stick to as I dont know if your wanting to spend something like £100 for all 4 or £200 for all 4 etc. Or wanting something cheaper.

Hi Wozza,

Thanks for the quick reply - yeah around 100ish quid (or less) would do it - I mean lets face it, I reckon 20 quid would probably buy me 4 speakers that have gotta be better than the factory fitted ones ;-)

Not really interested in bowel moving bass ;-) just a more full (rich???) sound rather than the tinny gramaphone experience we've got at the mo ;-)

Hi Wozza,

Thanks for that... Don't suppose you know of any direct replacement speakers though, I'm fairly lazy  and really just want to rip out the 4 in door speakers and replace them with something a bit better?

Thoughts?

Cheers, Jake

The 2nd ones are direct replacements and the top ones are as well as you have factory fit tweeters in your A pillars. So you would still need to disconnect them or you will find they will distort the sound quite a lot.
