Guest chrisnn Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 When I looked under the front of my C3 (Pluriel) it seemed that the front undertray was missing, as there are several square holes provided for the fitting of same. Having enquired at my local dealer, I was advised that an undertray is indeed fitted-but only to diesel versions! Anyone know the logic to this? I would really prefer to fit one as this should prevent a certain amount to spray being forced into the engine bay... Quote
stimulator Posted April 26, 2007 Posted April 26, 2007 Yes it's a sound proofing device. There isn't one on my C3 1.4HDi 16V 92BHP but my Picasso had ione till it fell OFF. There is a polythene back filled with sound proofing felt stuck to them. This rests on the sump. My Picasso has run now for a year without it and has not suffered. Quote
Guest chrisnn Posted April 26, 2007 Posted April 26, 2007 Stimulator-thanks for responding. Sound proofing makes sense with diesels, so I guess they save a few bob with the rest..... Quote
