Broken Drive Shaft

Hi,

 

3 months ago I bought an 05 C3 SX Auto. I absolutely love the car, but on Saturday I was shocked when my supposedly reliable car broke down in the middle of traffic!

 

Citroen have told me today that the long drive shaft has broken on the driver's side. As the car has only done 12000 miles, this should obviously not happen and Citroen is covering the repair under warranty.

 

I was wondering: Has this happened to anyone else?

Luckily it never happend on my Brothers 2003 52 C3 1.4i SX Auto.

 

I hope it don't happen on my 05 C3 Exclusive Sensodrive.

My wife is on her second C3 diesel the first having done 24,000 miles and was 4 years old and her latest 2006 model has done 6,500 miles and both (touch wood) have been brillaint and never had a problem.
