Guest Dutch Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 I have had my Citroen C5 2.0 HDi for about a year and a half now, and last August (2006) i had the ECU reprogrammed, best thing i ever did! Before it was sluggish, unresponsive, and didn't like doing thirty in town. Afterwards it pulled like the proverbial pooh off a shovel, it was fantastic. However the last three months or so, it's almost like the turbo has a mind of it's own, sometimes kicking in, sometimes not, sometimes when i'm overtaking it decides not to work at all!! Some have suggested air flow sensor problems??? Citroen have quoted £90+VAT. Any ideas on if this would solve the problem?? Quote
old'uns Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 could be EGR valve sticking open?mine did same thing last year Quote
Guest Dutch Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 could be EGR valve sticking open?mine did same thing last year update on sluggish C5! Been on the diaganostics computer today, and apparently it was the brake pedal/sensor that was the problem!!!!! Apparently the brake pedal came up as the fault, and it seems that every time you went over a bump etc, the pedal sensor was activated, and basically told the ecu not to engage the turbo! Only with a french car eh! Quote
Guest Dutch Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 update on sluggish C5! It now seems that unlike the volkswagons (which will go into limp mode if the brake sensor fails) this does not happen on the C5's!!! So although the fault was diagnosed correctly, it would not cause the turbo to work intermittently! I think it's back to the EGR Valve solution. Quote
