Hi,
I have a new C5 SX 2.0i BVA car (not the new style). I live in Turkey and we have two types of gasoline: 95 and 98 octan...
Which one should I prefer, I wonder whether the engine is ? (95 is cheaper offcourse)

98 octane is only beneficial in high performance engines. Some engines can only take 98.

Using 98 in other engines brings no real benefits apart from burning a slightly bigger hole in your wallet.

Stick with the 95.

However, it has been known in several occasions that the actual octanes are far less. For example, the 98oct gas is about 94 and the 95 one is somewhere near 92. Better safe than sorry.
