spl2 Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 Hi all, Just fitted my Kenwood KDC-W6527 into my 02 plate Citroen C3 SX Manual, all seems to work and be in good order, however I would like the head unit to power off when I take the keys out or turn the ignition off, at the moment this doesn't seem to happenn. I can only turn it off using the power off button on the unit and then pressing again when I restart the engine. Also worth mentioning, it doesn't turn off after a couple of minutes either - I've left the car secure and engine off for a good ten minute, and gone back find the radio is still on. Any ideas? Many thanks in advance! Quote

Alternatively you could use the accessory socket 12v, just make sure any wire you use is fused appropriately Quote
wozza Posted July 29, 2007 Posted July 29, 2007 Try switching the red and yellow wires around on the back of the headunit there is normally 2 red 2 yellow that you can clip into each other. Swap them around. Quote
Guest Reedy Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 hi i had the same sort of problem with my xsara picasso i took it to a dealership and they said it was a common problem that citroen don't know how to resolve but if you acounter the problem just find your battery disconect it and wait around 20seconds for all the current to drain out of the system , then just turn the ignition on and the problem should be over ! . there is only one problem with doing this, by dfisconectiing the power all of your radio presettings may be lost and the time and date will go back to 00 00 0000  . hope this helps the matter if not it may be a technical falt with your radio system Quote
