Belgarath Posted July 11, 2007 Posted July 11, 2007 Hi I am not a mechanic so please be patient! thanksI have a 2002 C5 3.0 exclusive. its got 80 odd KM on the clock, I think i am being taken by the local (South African) Citroen dealers. I have been told that I have to replace the entire assembly of hydrolic pipes both the steel and flxible pipes and should not get the leaking bit fixed, the new parts are going to cost around R8000 or 600 odd pounds. The leak seems to be comming from the where the flexible pipe joins the steel pipe and this seems to be clamped on also a small leak seems to be comming from the green switch on the steel hydrolic pipe at the fro of the engine. I recently took the car in for a service, as I noticed i had the leak on the hydrolic pipes in the front of the engine. R13000 later they replaced a timing belt and tensioner and a seized break caliper and the disks and pads as I also complained of sqealing breaks. But then they told me the price of they hydrolic pipes i nearly had heart failure. I have found a company that wil make up pipes and I am sure they will be cheaper than the parts from citroen or will i be wasting money and shou;ld rather just get the real part? Please helpThanks again Quote
