cole2 Posted July 18, 2007 Posted July 18, 2007 Hey lads. In a bit of trouble here. Went out while ago to go for a spin in my xantia but then realised I had left the keys in the ignition since yesterday when I was last out. Tried starting her but there was absolutely no movement from the starter. Changed the battery for a good one, no joy. Tried jump leads, no joy. Its weird, all the lights on the dash light up as normal but the bloody starter wont turn... Any ideas appreciated.. would the keys being in the ignition for 24 hours have anything or everything to do with it.? Quote
cole2 Posted July 18, 2007 Author Posted July 18, 2007 ok. I crossed the starter with a screw driver and she turned over, eventually starting. left her running for bout half an hour. turned her off and surprise surprise she wont start again. What could the problem be? When I turn the key to start her the lights on the dash dim slightly, the battery light goes off completely and I can also hear two relays just above the pedals clicking so there must be something happening..Im keeping the screwdriver in the glove box but its a bit of a pain.
