Does anybody know what will happen if i remove the speedo drive connection, i presume its an electrical plug somewhere on the gearbox, will removing the plug cause an engine management light to come on or will the speedo simply stop working also once replugged will everything return to normal with no problems.

Also does anyone know where exactly the speedo connection is.

[color=red]Don't touch[/color], The citroen range all has multiplex wiring systems, i.e. your wipers and stereo are also linked to the speedo readings, by disconnecting the speed signal sensor, you will upset a load of control units, and probably put the car into a failo safe mode,
Plus it's dis-honest to disconnect it to keep the ,mileage down, Hope you get stopped for speeding!
