hI, I HAVE OWNED MY NEW BERLINGO SINCE NO'06 , JUST ACQUIRED A CLUTCH JUDDER , NOW IN GARAGE, THEY SAY IT MAY NOT BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY ! JUST WONDERED IF ANYBODY ELSE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM, IT HAPPENES FIRST THING ON A MORNING WHEN GOIGN TO PULL OFF , THE CLUTCH SUDDENLY BITES AND TAKE OFF, "JUDDER" AAAHHH

My Berlingo was new 11/05. The first clutch failed at 32,000 miles. The replacement is now failing at 61,000. I think there is a problem with Berlingo clutches in the new Euro 4 engines. The garage says that it must be my driving! I sold my last car, a 1.8TD Focus estate, with 180,000 miles on the clock and the original clutch still working fine. I've found the dealers unhelpful and Citroen UK a waste of time. I can't really help but I do sympathise with you.

I have just had the clutch (lifter thrust bearing) fail in my 1.4i Multispace at 106000 miles. The same happened on my 1.9d van at about 114000 miles. Both were just over 3 years old. I drive in London all day, every day, so the clutch takes quite a beating. I don't regard this failure rate as unacceptable, although it's obviously a PITA when it happens. I'm getting a Nemo next year, and I'm going to replace the clutch at 100,000 whether it need it or not

If your clutch dies at 4000 miles, it's obviously a fault, but the driver who got 32000 out of his first one and 29000 out of the replacement may want to look at his driving
