ron8 Posted July 29, 2007 Posted July 29, 2007 I have a little 97 Saxo and it has just passed the MOT 2 months ago. Anyway since then it seems that whenever i go around a corner (left or right) or over an uneven road surface i here a rattle noise. i have looked beneath the vechile but cannot find anything loose . Can anyone offer up any oggestions as to what it may be . Cheers Quote
Guest rowls Posted August 7, 2007 Posted August 7, 2007 Which saxo do you have? if its a base model, the anti roll bar is bolted onto the bottom arm with aluminium u-shaped clamps which break. If its a higher spec model they have droplink bars on the roll bar which wear at the ends and can cause a knocking noise. Another thing that wears on them is the bearings at the top of the front struts. Quote
Guest Collie Buddz Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 I've just read this useful reply, I've got a Saxo VTR and have a similar noise, it can only be described as a knock/crack in the same circumstances as described in the original post. I'm only getting it on the offside though, can someone confirm that it could be droplink bars on the roll bar which have worn or the bearings at the top of the front struts? It's giving me some concern, even though it just passed it's MOT.Many thanks!
