Robert Posted November 2, 2004 Posted November 2, 2004 My C5 exclusive is displaying a message 'level of diesal anti pollution additive low' which indicates that there is a special place to put what I understand to be a fluid called Eloys fluid. Where do I put it? (No rude answers please!!) Quote
Caravan ken Posted May 11, 2005 Posted May 11, 2005 The additive is in a tank which forms part of the fuel tank. it can be filled by raising the off side rear passenger seat. It would normally only need filling at a high mileage when the car is serviced. Perhaps this was not checked at the last service or like my old C5 it did not need refilling, reset the computer by disconnecting the battery, wait 5 minutes, reconnect battery, wait 5 minutes then start car. you shold find the message has gone. fiatman Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 The main diesel tank can be accessed from the inside of the car, however you can only refill the diesel additive from underneath the vehicle the tank is located on the nearside hext to the main fuel tank, firstly drain the tank and then refill, the refill kit comes with an empty bottle to allow you to do this. If you fill the additive straight into the main tank it will almost certainly be the most expensive fill up you will ever have had and the diesel additive tank will still be low. Quote
Doug Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 I have just today been told by citroen dealers that to cure this fault they have to put new filter and unit in and is going to cost £399. the trouble i have with the other posts is disconnecting battery I always thought that if you took leads off battery it shuts down imobiliser.they also said the filter has to be changed as it causes trouble with emisions which would effect MOT???
