When pulling away from junctions my C1 can sometimes be a bit flat and slow to respond.

It may be becouse its only a 3 cylinder engine?

It is a bit annoying when you pull out into a gap and the thing seems to tootle out with a fast approaching car heading your way.

Had it in for first service today as its done 1281 miles and i mentioned the sluggish pulling away but they never said owt when they handed me my keys back 30 mins later.

Only solution I can think off, is to give it a bit more revs, from start.

I find the car only sluggish on steep hills, other than that, it runs fine.

Yes Colin yer right, i slip the clutch a bit now so the revs climb then shoot out.

Its just a case of getting used to how a 3 cylinder runs.

Hi - my first post!!

My C1 has done over 18,000 miles now and I have found that as it has got older it has also got loser. With that in mind, it is so nippy now I totally forget that its only got 3 cylinders. They say things get better with age - nippyness comes too!! ;)

no, i swear my c1 has a party trick of going into third instead of first. Makes for very embarresing starts. hahaha

Pulls away nice and smoothly though i thought.
