Tyke Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 When pulling away from junctions my C1 can sometimes be a bit flat and slow to respond. It may be becouse its only a 3 cylinder engine? It is a bit annoying when you pull out into a gap and the thing seems to tootle out with a fast approaching car heading your way.Had it in for first service today as its done 1281 miles and i mentioned the sluggish pulling away but they never said owt when they handed me my keys back 30 mins later. ColinC1 Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 Only solution I can think off, is to give it a bit more revs, from start. I find the car only sluggish on steep hills, other than that, it runs fine. Quote

Yes Colin yer right, i slip the clutch a bit now so the revs climb then shoot out.Its just a case of getting used to how a 3 cylinder runs. Quote
krafty Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Hi - my first post!! My C1 has done over 18,000 miles now and I have found that as it has got older it has also got loser. With that in mind, it is so nippy now I totally forget that its only got 3 cylinders. They say things get better with age - nippyness comes too!! ;) Quote
107 Codf Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Its a fun car i have never had problems with junctions, well apart from my first day of pure stalling Quote
Yoshi Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 no, i swear my c1 has a party trick of going into third instead of first. Makes for very embarresing starts. hahahaPulls away nice and smoothly though i thought. Quote
