[color=yellow]hi all, just a few questions & comments:
just purchased 02 C5 110 HDi estate 85k 1 owner fsh £6300 high miles but price reflects that
read some posts:

my lights flicker- annoying but seems no solution?

rear hatch lock: lower- doesn't always shut properly, rubber behind catch keeps dropping. Glass catch doesn't open, presume it's elec switch?

fuel consumption: computer says 37-38, my calc says nearer 40. all mixed driving with trestles on roof 50% of time.

biggest problem is will not rev over 4250 rpm. been told could be fuel filter clogged, is this a common prob with HDi engines? it's a little hesitant off mark but ok when turbo cuts in & up to 4250 but then seems to run out of steam.

might seem a lot of probs but i am very happy with car

Re: revving up to 4250rpm

Every diesel engine contains an overspeed governor which prevents people from red lining rpm needle which can cause large damage to the engine.

Diesel rpm red lines accur around 4000 rpm opposed to petrols which occur around 6500 rpm.

Flickering lights: This is a problem with C5's which the dealerships have little clue of fixing.

Fuel computer - 37-38? Should be getting nearer to late 40s. Don't rev up so much!
