rhoamish Posted November 5, 2004 Posted November 5, 2004 We got rid of our Pluriel after about 14 months. We didn't have many problems with it, although there were more than you expect from a new car. Unfortunately though, it was starting to show its age quite badly, after 20,000 miles. The trade-in value was appalling. It lost nearly half its value in this time, on what should have been a fairly desirable car. Citroen really ought to think about its customers, and try to protect residuals, rather than adopting a 'slash and burn' policy on discounts. I'm pretty angry with Citroen. Their marketing strategy sucks. I've been put off Citroen and all french cars by this experience (and the experience I had with a Renault (Rubbish), which literally came apart in my hands). I've gone for a Skoda Fabia vRS instead, and I'm really happy with it. Residuals look strong so far, and the Czech factory could show the French a thing or two about build quality. Quote
n_olympios Posted November 8, 2004 Posted November 8, 2004 The Czech factory could in fact show more than a thing or two to Audi and Vw (and they've been trying to reach the same level of build quality for years, lol) I have faith in PSA though, things will change. In fact, from what I've read, the C4 is on a much higher quality level than the Xsara, and this means a lot to me (as my Xsara has been proven faultless.) :D Quote
