Guest Dave D Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 I have a C4 1.8 diesel hatchback one year old that has recently had its first annual service. I noticed the service indicator still showed a spanner. When I reset the service indicator as describerd in the manual, by holding down the trip switch and switching on, it counts down to zero and indicates 12000 miles to the next service. The spanner disappears off the panel but the next time I start the car I get a negative mileage showing I am past the service interval and the spanner reappears. Can any one explain how to make it reset permanently. Quote
Mat Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 I have the same 'problem'. I've been told this could be fixed by updating the car's software. I'm not bothered enough to go through the hassle of booking my car in to have the spanner reset tho, so it shall wait until the next service or warranty claim. Quote
PPM Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 I have a C4 1.8 diesel hatchback one year old that has recently had its first annual service. I noticed the service indicator still showed a spanner. ... this happened to me, about 4000 miles after my service - suddenly the spanner was dispayed again. this was resolved by having the software patched. however, since doing that, I've had continuous problems with the cruise control/speed limiter Quote
