The LCD display on my climate control is flickering.

I can solve it by changing the backlight level, up or down but I reckon its going to get worse. Before I take it to a Citroen dealer, has anyone else had this problem? Always helps when convincing them there is a known problem.

I have a problem with my LCD, though i think its a different one to yours. My LCD is bleeding - i'm not sure if its water/damp ingress, or crystal leaking.

Yes - my climate control lcd flickers too, always has done on certain brightnesses. It's not unusual with these style displays, so I just keep it on a setting that doesn't flicker - have not (*touches wood*) found any problems and my car is nearly 2 years old.

Hope the dealer is replacing it for you?

See if you can get a VTR+ type one much nicer.

What would i get with a VTR+ style screen ?

It was somewhat of a joke. But the VTR+ and VTS have a different screen.

I have noticed my screen has elements that i';ve never seen operating, such as a car with 4 doors, presumably on a higher spec model (or hatch?), this shows when a door is open.

Mat - my LCD problem is minor in comparison. Hopefully you'll get it sorted!

I've added the LCD issue to my list of problems and will just take it along to the dealer a few months before the Warranty expires. Overall have been very happy with my VTR+ Coupe;

Outstanding problems at the moment are;

1. Rattling passenger side window due to the seal/door popping away. I can actually put my fingers between the window and the door frame! I have to squeeze the door back in shape to make it flush with the window. Not ideal...

2. Flickering LCD read out.

3. Steering wheel wobble at 77-80mph... Strictly whilst driving on private land....... I've had two garages attempt to balance the front wheels, but no luck resolving the problem. Read somewhere (possibly here) that C4's are tricky to balance?

Blimey - your back garaden must be huge !!

hey would it be possible to get one of the better looking screens for a VTR as a replacement, or is it going to back to the dealership ?

if so where can you get them from ?

Good luck in the 60,000 miles I did in the car before handing it back I don't remember a single mile where the wheels were balanced. In the end I gave up after taking it to about 5 kwikfits and 3 Citroen dealers. It had a new set of wheels with pirellis and then reverted to new Michelins and still the same. Seemed to me that the problem wasn't balancing but in the usual helpful Citroen style they weren't interested in diagnosing the fault.
