Hi all i have a 52plate citroen C5 2.0HDI 90 and was thinking of getting one of those tunning boxes has anyone any experience of Rover rons tuning boxes?? Heres the link to his site.

hi, take a look at angel tuning, they are approx 300 quid but i know a few people that have this done to there fiat brava/o jtd and they love it, i want to get it done but i can find better places to spend my money at the min. ie i need new brakes!!

I have a 2.0HDI 110 (auto gearbox) and had a diesel tuning box fitted last year. Ever since, the gearbox struggles to make it's mind up what gear it wants, and the end result is that the gearbox doesn't seem to be strong enough to cope with the extra power, frequently sticking in gear (requiring a gearbox re-set) and causing ecu problems.Speaking to various mechanics ( both citroen and independant) it seems that half the problem is that citroen say the gearbox is a sealed for life unit requiring no maintenance, but they definitely last a lot longer with regular oil changes, although the gearbox is a weak point anyway.The end result is that I now need a new gearbox and would recommend saving your money and just save up for the 2.2HDI, which is a far better engine anyway.The other problem I have had since fitting the tuning box is various electrical faults beinng shown on the cabin display, which I am told is due to the fact that the tuning box over-rides the ecu and confuses the onboard computer.
