hi all, wonder if i can pick your brains....sounds like something a fair few people have experienced before....blower fan in Xsara stuck on max - adjusting heat dial works, and direction dial also works, but unable to switch off or reduce airflow....it's on max, max, max, and only turns off when the engine does. I've read a little bit about the blower being under the glove box, and the likely culprit being a resistor....can anyone give me further instructions, pictures etc....please!

I've got the same problem on a Xantia! Would really like to know the answer!

I had the same problem a couple of weeks ago. My blower came on full and had no option but to take it into the local citroen dealer as I needed to get it fixed quickly. As well as the blower on full the aircon did not engage, the green light came on when the button was pressed but no cold air. You are correct, the blower has a built in controller (on the multiplex bus I believe) and can only be brought with the complete blower unit. The blower costs around £90 but with the diagnostics, fitting and reseting the computer came to just under £200.
