Indicator Noise Remains After Cancelled Indicating

:) When I indicate and the steering column returns to central, the indictor noise continues and often at a faster rate.
I can nudge the indicator lever and it stops but often resumes.

I have checked the bulbs all round and no lights are faulty.

What else could it be?

Could be the indicator relay or a more likely a poor connection!
