arnoux64 Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 New to this site so hi to all,I have a xantia 1.8 16v saloon 1999 T reg. The clutch pedal has been heavy from the day I bought the car 4 years ago. From what ive read on this site it sounds like I should replace it. Not mechanically minded so would have to get a garage to do the job. What sort of price should I expect to pay. Thanks Quote
Ronin Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 I've seen prices from £170 to £300. Make sure that the garage you take it to has done xantia clutches before, They can be a pig to fit and some garages will charge you extra for the hassle involved (if they haven't done them before)If none in your area have done one, just as a precaution........Get a quote in writing if you can (most garages with a good reputation and nothing to hide will do this for you)... That way, you have an agreement that will stand up in a small claims court if they ever tried to pull a fast one and over-charge you. Thats the worst case scenario for you :( Quote
