pandp Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 Hi All, I was wondering if anyone could point out what the problem might be with my heater. I have a Xantia 1.9TD 1998. The heater is not very powerful, it smells and it doesn't get very hot. If i switch the heater to auto, it does nothing. The temp reading at the side of the clock gives no reading except -:- not sure if that has anything to do with it. Would like to fix it if someone knows how. If i switch it to max, i hear it blowing and ever so lightly blows out of the window vents. When it is on, it smells quite strong. I seem to remember my other xantia 1.8i smelling the same...common thing? Also, this being a diesel, it is quite noisy and i do know diesels are noisy as a rule, but it is my first diesel. Are they quite noisy? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you Quote
