AndyA Posted December 7, 2004 Posted December 7, 2004 Just taken my 1.4 SX Sensodrive (petrol) in for some work by the dealer and they say there is some sort of recall on these relating to the gearbox. A friend of ours had the same when she took hers in last week for 1000mile check - she said they had the whole gearbox out of the car! I will find out more when I collect the car. Quote
dave leatherby Posted December 7, 2004 Posted December 7, 2004 Re Sensodrive recall Hi Andy Are Citroen contacting owners about this? Mine went in month or so ago for clutch judder which is 95% fixed. Be interested to hear your results! Regards - Dave Quote
hertsnminds Posted December 8, 2004 Posted December 8, 2004 If you want to know what the official recalls are for any model of car you can look them up here http://www.vosa.gov.uk/vosa/apps/recalls/default.asp These are for safety related recalls required by UK law so the list does not include things like trim replacements. If you can find out which Citroen code has been used for this recall it would be helpful. Physical faults have X codes followed by letters whilst software upgrades seem to have X codes followed by numbers. Ian Orange 03 Senso Quote
AndyA Posted December 15, 2004 Author Posted December 15, 2004 Hi It appears from what they told me they are not recalling all vehicles so I guess its not a safety issue. What they carried out relates to reprograming the electronics to avoid problems when changing into and out of reverse. The dealer was reluctant to show me the paperwork for some reason so I don't have any more details. I have had recurent problems with this particular dealer - see my handbrake problem listed elseware on this site. Anyone any recomendations for good service in the West Midlands area ? Andy Quote
hertsnminds Posted December 16, 2004 Posted December 16, 2004 All Citroen dealers seem VERY cagey about letting you know what work has been done on your car. I asked mine for some paperwork so that I could build up a log for when the car is sold on. They just said the new owner could go into any Citroen dealer and they would look the car up on their computer to see the work done. Not very satisfactory unless you are not trading the car in at a Citroen dealers. Ian Orange 03 Senso Quote
CE08LDB Posted July 27, 2005 Posted July 27, 2005 They stopped doing the C2 1.4i Sensodrive now. The C2 owners tthinks because they have been a nightmare. They still do a C2 1.4HDi Sensodrive Quote
