Gear Box Noise On Sensodrive 1.4hdi

I was wondering if anybody else hears the same sort of clunk/click noise (as in automtatic mode) when it drops down a gear particulary from 4th- 3rd and 3rd - 2nd and so on but you dont hear the same noise when the gear box chnages upwards. Could this be a problem??

Hi Paul,

 

I've listened closely to my C3 today. The only noise I get with AUTO selected is the computer blipping the throttle (as in double de-clutching) when the car slows down through the gears WITHOUT braking. When under braking, computer changes down silently until braking stops and throttle is used. No clunk/click as such.

Thanks Smokescreen, I think that it a better description of the noise ( blipping) and reckon that is it (computer doing its bit) ,so no need to worry my little head over it ( but you know what its like you start imagining your hearing noises etc)
