Guest julie Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 my berlingo will be three years old come july , and will be up for replacement . so does anyone know anything about the rumoured updated blingo that supposed to be coming for next year ? ONE WORD, DON'T DO IT !!!!!!! Hi, my brand new berlingo 56 plate, 1.6 hdi 75 was only only a few months old, 3,000 miles, had clutch judder, i took the car back to the dealers where it was annoced i would have to pay over £700.00 for a new clutch, i left the car, and said you can keep it, it is still under warranty, of course they tried to get out of it, and say driver at fault, i said my last berlingo i had for 4 years, did not require a clutch all the time i had it. the dealer said i would have to pay. I took the car away i wrote letter to head office, within days car was booked in, they stripped the clutch down, to find it had bits falling off it, sorry i dont know the techie terms, something had broke up, and since had a whole brand new clutch fitted, yes at 3,000 miles, the car is now over 1 year old, and i'm still NOT 100% happy with it, to me , it still not right, when i go to pull away, there is still a snatch, to me , my old 7 year berlingo drove better than this . yes i should never of changed it, After this , i would never have a new car, and NEVER another citroen. It gets worse, i washed the car at the weekend to find rust spots on the tailgate, only 1 year old car, so now i am going to take the car back yet again, i'm dreading it, as it is metallic blue, and if they need to paint it, will they get the correct colour ?? aaahhhh. really not looking forward to this, i think after this , i will trade it in, this is my first brand new car , and never again, Quote
Oxymoron Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 On the contrary, both we and our in-laws bought new Berlingos at about the same time in 2004 and haven't had any real problems. The only fault when our car was still quite new, was the dipped/main beam switch failed and it was subsequently replaced under warranty, without question!Cheerz  Quote
northman Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 Replacement? ONE WORD, DON'T DO IT !!!!!!! Actually, that's three or even four (we'll compromise and say three and a half). But seriously, why go for replacement? Keep the old one and get a new one as well. You can never have too many Berlingos, you know! Quote
