Hi, I am trying to solve a problem of steering wobble I am experiencing between 65mph to 75 mph in my Xantia 2.1 turbo exclusive estate.

I have isolated the problem to the inner track rod end on the near side of the steering rack which has play in it.

I have inspected the unit assembly which is connected to a housing that is attatched to the power steering ram.

I cannot see how the track rod assembly can be removed from this housing.

There is a rubber gaiter covering the ball joint without any obvious means of removing it other than destroying it.

Am I missing something simple?

I have confirmed that the ball joint assembly is worn and I have bought a replacement, it has a threaded end to fit into the steering rack, but offers no clue how the old unit should be removed out of the housing attached to the power steering ram unit?

Can you offer any advice on how to complete this repair?
