Guest Wida Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 Hi everyone! This is my first post on this forum...I have a new C4. I've got it in july this year. Yesterday evening I went on a short trip to pick up my girlfriend at the bus station. On the way I used the cruise control. I must say I use it very often... it's just so much nicer to drive without your foot on the gas pedal... and this C4 is my first car equipped with such a toy. ;) After my gf arrived I started the engine and I heared a beep and the following message appeared on the display: "Speed controler faulty". I was not sure what the message was about, but I realised soon, that the cruise control is not working. I tried to switch it off and than back on, but it didn't help. After I arrived home, I've turned off the engine and the cruise controler switch too. After that I've started the engine and turned the CC switch back on and everything was working correctly. No signs of the problem. Did anyone on this forum had a similar problem? Is this a sign of things to come? Or was this just a minor problem which was automatically solved when I did the restarting thing? Quote
wozza Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 Probably just a minor glitch. If it happens again get it into the dealer or mention it next time you are there. It is normally just a sensor problem though. Unfortunately it happens with all the technology being put into cars now you are going to get the occasional faulty sensor. I had one that caused the car to go into limp home. Quote
hertsnminds Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 Clutch sensor replacement and software update are the know fixes for this fault. You should find some other posts on the subject in the C4 section of the forum. IanBlack 55 VTR+ Quote
