Also if oil level ok then raise car to full hieght, turn engine off - this should lock the car at that hieght , jack the car up with whell of the ground and see if the wheek bearing is ok by garbbing the wheel top and bottom and rock it to see if there is any play, if no then ok. start looking for worn bushes etc around the the wheel area. Also see my notes on the this sight called useful info that will help to. good luck Quote
DaveWalling Posted November 4, 2007 Posted November 4, 2007 Hi Crazylama, Don`t know about the knocking, but to check if you need to top up the hydraulic fluid the procedure is as follows : Have the engine ticking over, then set the suspension to it`s highest setting (Use the lever between the front seats, lift and pull to the rear then let it down so it stays in that position.) When the suspension is fully up lift the bonnet an check the viewing glass on the hydraulic fluid tank (Nearside, rear of the engine bay) If the float is between the lines then all is OK, if not then you will need to top up.Hope this info is of use to you.
