rogerslimprs Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 Dear All, I own a C2 and need to change the battery. Simple job huh? Well, I thought so too. Got the leads off no trouble, but can I get the battery out of the housing? Not a chance. Can anybody tell me how to lift the battery free from the housing? It seems to be attached somehow but I can't find out how to save my life and I can't afford to call out the Citroen garage to fix it either. So any ideas would be very much appreciated. Thanks. shakey Posted December 18, 2007 Posted December 18, 2007 you have probably figured this out by now, but on the right hand side of the battery there is a black handle type thing press down on it and give the battery a real good pull it will come out Quote
iannez Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 if its still tight slide the ecu beside it out and you will be able to lean the battery over further. Quote

Now that is the final bit of the jigsaw. Pressing down the lever does not allow for the battery to be removed. You need to remove the electrical compoents on the left of the batter, before pressing down the right sided lever and then leaning the battery over to the left. Even the Citroen engineers had difficulty achieving this in the beginning. Thanks for getting back to me though. Sue Quote
