yodarizzo Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 Hello Guys, Im hoping someone can shed some light for me........recently the front suspension on my 95 Xantia has started to constantly rise and fall. It pumps up to the correct ride height and then drops back down again. As soon as it has finished dropping (takes about 5 seconds) it pumps its self back up. This process is repeated over and over.Anyone had the same problem? I can't find any info or similar cases anywhere. Cheers Kevin Quote
Guest Colin Hunter Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 I have thought about this one for a few days and, seeing as how no-one else has answered I'll have a go. The only way that the suspension would drop without you adjusting it is if the fluid is leaking out of the front system somewhere. Since you don't mention a leak it's safe to assume that the fluid is finding it's way back to the tank. The height corrector at the front would appear to be leaking back fluid, causing the car to drop before kicking in as it should and restoring things to normal. It may be that it has gone out of adjustment and needs to be reset or it may just be worn out. Either way I think that's the culprit. Seeing you havn't been on again you may even have sorted it out.Cheers Hope this helps. Quote
