Guest Colin Hunter Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 If it's the one on the wishbone (lower ball joint) you won't be able to change it without a special tool. Take it to a Dealer or a garage which has the relevant tooling. By this I mean, unbolt the wishbone assembly and take it to them. Phone round and tell them what you want done. They'll know if they can do it. Try your local dealership. One of the mechanics might help you out during his break for a pint or two. If you don't ask you don't get. Cheers. Quote

Hi Colin Many thanks for the help, I had to do as you suggested, one' the wishbone assembly was unbolt , and because the damage inflicted to the ball joints any tool would had been worthless, has been easier to use a brutal forze in order to undo it , didn't took long actionally couple of minutes and was out, anything went in place easy an most of all I passed the NCT .Thanks again all the best Quote
Guest Colin Hunter Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 Nice to hear your car passed the MOT (NCT? Which country is that? Kiwi? Oz?) Yes some times brute force and ignorance will win the day. I remember a 2nd Engineer (from Oz) I used to sail with saying "Don't force it! Use a Bigger Hammer!" Cheers. Happy motoring. Quote
