pantman66 Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 hi just bought a 1999 xantia 1.8i sx so im new to the world of citroens, does anyone know where to get an owners handbook and one for the stereo pls? i have the service book etc but the guy i bought it off has mislaid them and cannot find them,i hope someone can help as i have no idea what some of the buttons and switches do,also i would like to set the stations etc thanks Quote
Guest Colin Hunter Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 I have a car hand book but not a radio one. However, setting the stations is quite easy. If you press the button called "Band" the radio will scroll through several sets of FM "Setpoints" and one AM Set. Scroll to the desired set and, using the search controlls on the wheel or the radio, set it scanning When you get to a station you want to save, press and hold one of the preset buttons (1 to 6) along the bottom. You can save 6 stations in each "Set" and you can scroll between sets by pressing the "Band" button. This button is also used to change back to radio if you have been using the tape deck. Basically if you do what I did and mess with it you will find out how it works eventually. Some of the buttons respond differently to a short or long press, so have a fiddle and it will all become clear! (Well maybe!) Cheers. Quote

Guest rowls Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 your local dealer may still be able to get a handbook for you, but after working in a citroen parts department, i can say from experience that the book you order isnt always the one citroen decide to send you! Could always try ebay! Quote

Guest rowls Posted December 1, 2007 Posted December 1, 2007 The wires under the seat will probably be for the side airbags located in the seat. Quote
Guest Colin Hunter Posted December 1, 2007 Posted December 1, 2007 Yes, and also seatbelt pretensioners. DO NOT mess with these wires without disconnecting the battery, and wait about 15 minutes after that before touching them. If you ever need to remove the seat it's very important to remember that!. Quote
