Its nice in the red. I got the 4 Diecast Models of the C3 Exclusive

Tuscan Blue
Rainforest Green
Wicked Red
Artic Steel.

I think Citroen have stopped doing the green on the C3 now so mine must be the last of the batch.

I was thinking about having red but I though I see alot of red C3s about. And not many green ones.

Picked up my C3 today. It had only 44 miles on the clock when I picked it up and 2 bars on fuel guadge. Its now on 63 miles with one bar and red light on

When I picked the car up the MPH Clock was on KPH

So the Sales man try to change it. Couldn't do it. The Service Manager tried Couldn't do it so in the end It had to go around the back to the workshop so the computer could do it. Do any of you think its better on fuel after 1,000 miles?

You finally got your car

Hope it was worth the wait

Will the car be better on fuel after 1000 miles?

You bet - but even after 1000 miles the engine is not properly run in.

After its free service, gradually introduce more revs but no more than 4000 rpm.

For petrol cars - give it around 5000-10000 miles to properly loosen

That way I got 44mpg from a 98 Saxo.

Miss that car.

You should have told them to go to this website
http://www.c3pluriel.org.uk/
and look in the TIPS section, it shows you exactly how to change from metric to imperial displays.

I didn't notice any change in fuel economy until after 10,000 miles on the clock.

It is a lovely car I am really happy with it. The only one thing which concerns me is you got to accelerate quickly pulling off from junctions or the car will roll back. The Dealer never mentioned about this happening. It could be my Hand Controls. because I can't use the pedals I got hand controls which I pull up to accelerate and push down to break. So that split second where I break then accelerate so that second where it takes me to accelerate could be long enough for it to roll back.

But apart from that its great. hopefully now it will get better on the fuel :(

My sister loves her 2002 Saxo

Glad you like your car Saxoauto must of been worth the wait then.
I still have problems now and then wher car seems to change gear at junctions just as I need the power, takes some getting used to after a normal auto gearbox.

Fitted DVD player today, tried reversing camera but was not very good (not wide angle lenses) so not bothering with that. No problems with electrics so far display seems to work fine connected ignition feed to the cigarette lighter trim very award to get back together but went fine. Need to go for a drive to test the sound quality not changeing standard speakers unless sound really bad.
Shall take a photo of DVD installed when I can.

Still doing about 37 MPG going work and back (7.5 miles) and a few longer journeys.

Your car had a lot of miles on mine only had 6, is that because it had been to get the hand controls fitted?
Posted
Yes the Hand Control Fitting Co is 16 miles each way from the dealer plus I should imagin they took it on a Test Drive. There is one thing I would have liked on my car like my brother has on his C3 is the clip which used to be on the corner of the windscreen for badges parking permits etc. Have you tried the Alarm. Its really loud. How long are you keeping your car for? I got mine for 3 years now then I get another new one. I got 102 miles on the clock now. I put £15 fuel in it yesterday so its still on half a tank I have done about 22 miles since I filled up yesterday.

I reckon I made a great choice. I was wondering to have the 1.4i SX Auto in the beginning but when I saw the Exclusive outside on the forecourt the day I ordered mine I loved it straight away.

I see the C3 Stop & Start Sensodrive has the silver door handles and rear number plate moulding like ours plus it has Rear parking Sensors so why couldn't they put the parking sensors on the Exclusive model. But my dealer told me that the Exclusive is the best model in the C3 range. I bought a Exclusive badge on ebay to put on the pack. They use them on the Picasso Exclusive it looks smart on my C3. only paid 99p for it off ebay brand new genuin Citroen item. I put a SX badge on the back of my brothers C3 aswell.

I like your page about your car. How do I make one like that.

Alright for some to have DVD players.lol

Had my car for over a week now. Very Happy with it apart from a stone chip on the bonnet. I just bought C3 Mud Flaps off ebay for it. I will ask for my gear box to be looked at when it goes in for its 1,000 miles service because when at junctions its slipping into second instead of staying in first and I was on an hill yesterday to turn right but because there was a car coming the opposit way I put the hand break up and the car started to roll back now that shouldn't happen with the handbreak up. Its just got over 300 miles on the clock.

The only time my car does this is when it is cold and slippery, the sensodrive goes into SNOW mode. It always does this at junctions or roundabouts and just when you are wanting to move off quickly. The car usually beeps and takes about 5 seconds to decide it is going into snow mode and changes from 1st to second before moving off very slowly (because it is now in 2nd).

I find this a very dangerous feature of the sensodrive and tend to leave much more time to pull away from junctions and roundabout entrances now to compensate.

Can`t see any pictures Saxoauto does not work clicking on them to see show picture.

My car is still O.K. few minor problems, small stone chip on windscreen, don`t think its deep enought to be repaired.
Seats squeak a little but stereo cover that up, too much trouble to take it in to have it sorted.

still pleased with car, average 37 MPG computer still reading 3MPG more. 1480miles done.

Here is my C3 Album http://public.fotki.com/CE05LDB/.

I bought some Genuin C3 door sills and Mudflaps haven't fitted them yet though

And a bought a car mini cooler. I know you can use the Air Con in the lower glove box but this cooler can be used with out the engine running. It only cost me £9.50 from Woolworths.

There was one thing that has confused me. To test the alarm I locked the car with my brothers daughter and her friend in there and the sensors never picked them up in there and didn't set the Alarm off.

My MPG is going down not up. It could be because my brother borrowed it for 2 days and it was getting used to his driving style. I still want my Sensodrive gear box looked at 1,000 miles. I have done 500 now.

Jazzster I know a Citroen Dealer who sells on ebay and at ebay prices so if you want to buy any C3 stuff off him I will give you his details. He is alot cheaper than buying direct from a dealer. So buy from a dealer at ebay prices. For that little touch you want to get a Citroen Exclusive badge to put on the tailgate like I did. It makes it look smart.

I think your DVD player is great.

SAXOAUTO I have thought of getting the sill protectors but the seem expensive even on ebay, I have already got a exlusive badge fitted had it last week.
Still like car except for qearbox at junctions, read on Aussie forum mine seems to be normal car changeing gear just as you want to pull off. Tried manual change and can not get it right, got a week off work so hopeing to get a few miles done this week.

Took me 6 months to adjust my driving style to the Sensodrive, from about 15 years of driving cars with manual gear changes. Still sometimes get it wrong and end up in N instead of 1st or have the car changing down from 2nd to 1st as I want it to be in gear and giving me power, for pulling onto/away from junctions.

I done 206 miles trip today Average 49.6 MPG on clock so most likely 46.6 MPG not to bad for 1600 litre I suspose, driveing in North Wales hills on mostly "A" roads. Highest was 54.9 MPG.
Strange thing is it seems to stay at 49.6 for last 60 or so miles, even when putting foot down a little. The ave MPG on the Honda Jazz would change now and then by 0.1 MPG if climbing hills of going down hill.
The computer does not seem to update very often and when it changes ave MPG it jumps by 0.5 or so.
Still find car O.K. except it does not like rubble strips much and jumps side ways, Only other car I can remember this happening on was Xanita

Not sure how accurate any of the trip computer info is. The worst one is the max miles, with a full tank this can read anything between 400 and 500 miles. By about half a tank this reduces to closer to 200 miles and just as it gets to the last bar it shows about 100 miles. But if you start a journey from that point it will give you about 50 actual miles before it tells you there are zero max miles.

I would take all of the readings as a guide only, just the speed, total miles and odometer seems to be close to real readings.

Have you ever checked them?
The only check I've made is ever time I pass a speed camera ;)
But I have noticed that other cars seem to slow down more for them...
