mag7 Posted March 4, 2005 Posted March 4, 2005 Hi everyone, I've just bought a zx TD Volcane 5dr, 1994 in top condition, 16in alloys stainless exhaust and k&n. However the rev counter stays still and will not budge. Is this a common prob? Also, what MPG can I expect in urban driving. This is my first diesel so any advice will be cherrished. The cam belt was changed at 55k and she has now done 106k with full s/h, how much longer to go? Thanx Jim  Quote
snuffy Posted June 14, 2005 Posted June 14, 2005  i would have thought about 40 ish local as for the belt recomended 78 000 but all depends on use if stop start locacally would advise having it changed now for piece of mind better safe than sorry Quote
bogs dollocks Posted June 27, 2005 Posted June 27, 2005 ive a 1995 Volcane and the rev counter has been still for 3 years its fairly common, mine takes £34 from empty to fill up around town i get a good 400 miles from that, and on longer journeys about 450 miles, use injector cleaner regulary as it knocks about 50 miles off a tank of fuel if you dont.
