hi guys im new to the forum i was just browsing the net looking for some ideas of what could be wrong with my van and i came across this forum so i was hoping perhaps some of you could maybe give me some answers :P ... i have been having problems with he van starting for the last 3 days i had to call the AA twice who said that it was the starter motor so i took it into the garage this morning ( just a normal garage not citroen) who put the new one in..... when i picked it up i had to drive about 70 miles to lincoln when i first started out the van was fine but after 5 or so miles i started to lose power and at about every 10mph intervals the van just sort of lags like theres no acceleration ...also the coolant light came on so i pulled over and topped it up twice i rang the mechanic who said he had to take 2 rad hoses off the top of the engine so he had to drain the top of the engine of water(? :) ) but he couldnt think why it was lagging so i carried on to lincoln and done a few jobs and the van was fine just pottering around but as soon as i started on my way home it started again so im resuming its when it gets really hot i have told the mechanic he has got to have another look on monday to see whats wrong he said it might be the ecu so i can imagine that being a xspensive job so im just hoping someone can shed any light on this as i dont want to be ripped off lol

anyway thanks very much for reading and sorry for the lack of punctuation lol

Any other tell tale signs? Overheating, more smoke than usual out of the exhaust?

Wondering whether its a small head gasket leak that is more apparent when either under load or when engine hot.
