Guest c4nut Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 Hope someone can help - noticed today that a couple of bits of trim were protruding from just under the headlamps - hard to explain what they are but they look like the type of things that should be headlamp washers??? I have pushed them back in but how did they get out in the 1st place as can't find anything in user manual. Anyone shed any light? Quote
wozza Posted December 29, 2007 Posted December 29, 2007 I think if you hold the windscreen washer in for a certain length of time it washes the headlights as well. Not entirely sure if thats right. But guessing you have a VTS / Exclusive or the xenon headlight upgrade. They will be headlight washers as all xenons that are factory fitted are required to have them by law. If it has not gone back in itself take it to the dealer it might need replacing they should go in without you having to push them. And people in the past on here have said theirs stopped working properly. Quote
billynibbles Posted December 29, 2007 Posted December 29, 2007 I didn't know I'd got them till the first time I drove in the dark in the rain, and then I wondered why I was throwing curious shadows patterns across the M3! Up till that point, I just assumed they were blanking plates for those who HAD got headlamp washers or holes for a towing eye. I normally drive on lit roads so I never noticed for months! They only work when the headlights are on and you operate the screen washer. Sounds like yours have developed a fault whereby they no longer park after use or maybe something's blocking them. Quote
