Guest master kj Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 Hello all, can somebody help ?!! I have been having trouble with my 2.0 ltr hdi (s reg) regarding the engine management light. when the engine is cold (and particularly on cold mornings) after engaging first gear and releasing the clutch a faint "ticking"noise can be heard for a couple of seconds, then it will stutter whilst driving along, the warning light appears and then the engine completely cuts out. fire her up again, wait for the warning light to go out and off i go ,no problems after that. This can happen 2 , 3 miles down the road. This is not a regular occurence , but a real pain in the arse ! took it to auto electricians plugged into computer and a fault code came up , but not recognised !! anyone any ideas ? its driving me nuts. bad wiring ?? relays ?? any input most appreciated.
