Guest Colin Hunter Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 Your car DOES have side air bags if it's a Mk2 which, seeing it's an HDi it will be. They are built into the seat backs and the wires for them and the seat belt pre-tensioners can be seen if you look under the seats. DO NOT meddle with these wires unless you first disconnect the battery and then wait about 15 mins for any residual voltages to disappear. (go and have a cuppa while you wait!) Be sure you know the radio code first though! Make sure the wires are properly connected, someone may have taken them off for some reason. If you still have the lights after that the only way to find the problem is to get a diagnostic check done by citroen. Shouldn't cost too much for the check as it only takes moments. If it shows up a problem in the seats the best bet would be replacements from a breakers as long as the bags etc are intact. The fuel filter may have been changed recently and fuel spilt at that time. Diesel takes a long time to evaporate away so don't be too alarmed. Keep your eye on it though as you may have a small leak some where. The low pressure side of the system from the supply pump in the tank, through the filter to the pressure pump runs at about 3 bar. The high pressure (Fuel injection) side runs at 1350 BAR so a leak there would be very evident! Cheers, Hope this helps. Quote
