flitwick Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 Went to garage after i noticed o/s headlight was misted up they took one look and said oh yes new headlight think ok have extended warranty wouldnt be a prob exept it dont cover lights :D .There was no way i was going to pay £100 for a new one plus prob an hours labour charge so had a look myself found the rubber seal had gone (odd as ive never touched the o/s headlamp before) full of water .Removed the bulbs and using kitchen towel removeed the excess water .The with the use of a hairdryer bingo no condensation replaced rubber seal (£3) and sprayed with wd40 .No damp in headlight now :D prob saved myself £200 Quote

Guest ReadingDriver Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 I've had the same problem - but because its on the passenger side its impossible to get at.All I can do is to remove the covers of the battery and fuse box (and the random other bit), unclip the back of the headlight box and stick some kitchen roll in to suck some of the water out.Another garage job Quote
