It's all in the Haynes manual, Chapter & Verse! Available from Halfords etc. All in all not much different from any other front wheel drive clutch.

I had a right game trying to get the gear box back on , but I found that fitting some longish pieces of all thread into the bell housing in the top mount holes ( of the same size as the mount bolts ), assisted with the alignment of everything as it was being pushed on. Overall it was a swine of a job that I wouldn't wish on anyone working at home on the drive , but as it only cost me the price of a clutch kit , it was worth it financially !!

hi guys just wondering if any body out theres got any tips and tricks on how to fit a new clutch to a xantia diesel as mines in need of changing thanks ian

yes just one remove one of the gearbox to engin bolts and get two peces of stud iron of the same thred about 23 cm or 9" cut the end squre to fit and remove you can lock two nuts to gether to remove after use these alow you to slide the gearbox in and out with out damaging clutch the top two holes are best. i supose you know you have to mark the position clutch arm is in as it clears the relese bearing so it is in the same position when refiting charles use the corect gear oil
