Hydraulic Pump

myxantia has started to leak from the pump i have checked all the pipes

and there all sound,any ideas on repairing or if i have to replace where

to buy a used pump.

Bear in mind that there are different types depending on your model GS&F

http://www.gsfcarparts.com/ list 9 different ones. They're not cheap from GS&F at around £145 plus vat and delivery so the breakers would seem to be the best bet!

I would try and get one from a scrapper, I am in the same predicament at he moment as my is totally cream crackered, along with the hydraulic regulator. I suggest that you contact Citroen and give them your chassis number, ask them for the part number, then once you find a scrapper do the same thing with the number from that and then compare tem, obviously if they are the same part number you should have no problems. Colin is right GSF do list different pumps however I have been looking on the Citroen Idependent Dealer website and that lists only 2 for the Xantia! Very puzzling!

dave check how many pipes are attached to the pump,there are two or three if yours

is a bog standard xantia 1.9diesel,hope that helps.

Thanks for that old lager, mine is a 1.9TD SX, M reg. Found another in the local scrapper, so going to have a look see in the morning, wanted to go today but it was PI****G it down!!!
