Cd/radio Code Problem And Cd/radio Fascia

Good Evening,

 

Well I bought my first ever Citroen Saxo today, it is a 1999 model VTR and have a couple of problems that I hope you can help me with:-

 

1. I had to get hold of a Saxo CD/Radio (thro' ebay) which is fine because I have the code and the unit accepts the code. The problem I have is that when I park the car and turn the CD/Radio off and say return to it some while later, I turn the radio on it asks for the security code each time. Surely this isn't normal and if so, does anyone have a suggestion as to what the problem is?

 

2. Unfortunately the Saxo didn't come with the in-built fascia so the Saxo CD/Radio doesn't 'click' into place. Does anyone know where I can get hold of one?

your radio is NOT connected up to a constant live wire, so when you take the keys out of the ignition it loses it's code and goes dead ! it thinks the radio has been removed from the car :P thus having to re-code it again and again, get somebody to have a look at the back of the radio and make sure all the connections are in place.
