Having problems with the rear supension only. Occasionally the rear suspension drops right down. On driving the car approx. 100 yds the suspension returns to normal. When this first happened I checked the hydraulic oil resovoir and this showed empty I put in 2Litres of the correct oil and the suspension returned to normal. When in normal position the car was checked by the main Citroen agents but they could not find any definite fault but suggested probably air in line, they bled the lines. Yesterday I went out the car it was perfectly ok and I parked up for approx. 45 mins, went back to car and found the rear suspension down, being about 1 mile from the main agents I drove straight there (Note on this occassion the suspension did not return to normal after a short drive) they could not inspect it that day so I left the car there overnite with the rear suspension in the down position ready for them to check it out the next day) Apparently the suspension was down when they drove it to the service centre for checking a distance of approx 80 yards, but on arrival there THE REAR SUSPENSION had returned to normal position!!!

They inspected the car again and couldnt fault it in any way, they didnt charge me for this and suggested if and when it happened again give them a ring take it in and they would check again hopefully with the suspension down they are determined to find the fault if possible.

I would be very grateful if anyone who has encounted this or any similiar peculiarity would reply with any suggestions which may resolve the problem.

MANY THANKS TO ALL
