Guest CE05LDB Posted February 26, 2008 Posted February 26, 2008 do they not do the c3 VTR any more No. There isn't even a 1.6i 16v with manual Gearbox available anymore only with Automatic Transmision. Quote
flitwick Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 No. There isn't even a 1.6i 16v with manual Gearbox available anymore only with Automatic Transmision. That because they will be replacing the c3 sooner than you think new c3 could be out in the next 10 to12 months and no c2 thats going to replaced as well hope its built better than this model the new c5 looks good Quote
Guest CE05LDB Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 Whilst at the Citroen Garage the other day I saw a Brand New 08 C3 Exclusive. I am glad I didn't have one as it dosen't look like a Exclusive compare to my C3. On the outside it looks like an SX but with Alloys. No Silver Door Handles and Boot Mouldings. No Colour Coded Mirrors. No Electric Folding Mirrors. On the Inside looks like an SX but has alarm, moduboard and 2nd Rear View Mirror No Cruise Control No Picnic Tables. I am glad I went for a C2 VTR. Shame really as one time the C3 Exclusive had alot of goodies. Quote
scimitargtc Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 Took delivery of a C3 1.4 HDi Rythmn yesterday to replace a 182k Xsara HDI arrived as a Cachet but no alloys just different seat material. MPG is 46 (Xsara had no comp so actual fill to fill was used to prove 50 mpg) so it better improve otherwise this will have been a really bad move,..,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Whilst at the Citroen Garage the other day I saw a Brand New 08 C3 Exclusive. Guest CE05LDB Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 Well when my friend had his 2005 54 reg C3 1.4HDi Desire it was doing 50mpg just around town and the car hadn't even been run in when he changed it in Jan 08 it only had 8,500 miles on it. I was told by Citroen the consumption gets better after 3,000 miles Quote
stimulator Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 My 1.4 SX 90BHP HDi did 65 mpg out of the box. at no more than 60 mph It now at 33500K returns 64.7 mpg during warm weather and 60.1 in the cold, all with A/C on. My 1.6 SX 92BHP HDi is currently only now returning 54 MPG at 2300 miles. When first out of the box it was a disappointing 47, which made me go back and complain as on paper it should be better than the 1.4 The reply was that it will improve which it si BUT I was also told to give it a good hammering. that last statement is against my personal code but I must say it does seem to thrive on higher speeds. Guest CE05LDB Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 When I first had my C3 1.6i I was getting about 25.9mpg around town then after a few thousand miles I started to get over 30mpg then ever since after 10,000 miles around town I get Between 35mpg - 45mpg and on long runs I get between 45mpg to 55mpg. My brothers C3 1.6i on the other had is still doing 25.9mpg after 25,000 miles. Quote
citroeneddie Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 I know what you mean about Citroen removing specs, I think taking cruise out of Exclusive is a bit mean especially as a new model is out next year, I thought they would keep buyers interested until then. Our 1.1 is a great shopping trolley, and for the price and running costs, you just can't beat it ;) Quote
stimulator Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 Apparently you can get the cruise fitted for around £100. Quote
CE08LDB Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 Apparently you can get the cruise fitted for around £100. Well I know Citroeneddie had it done but I went into my dealer this morning and had a chat with the service manager and salesman about it I know them both well. They said they have never done it there before and they advised don't have it done as if it were to go wrong the warranty will be void as its not a standard fit on my car and the costs of repair would have to come out of my own pocket so I have decided not to have it done. Quote
citroeneddie Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 In my opinion, if it is fitted by a Citroen Dealer with official Citroen parts, the warranty would not be void. Quote
CE08LDB Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 Well thats what they told me in Citroen so Im going to leave it at that its not worth the hassle. If I wanted it that bad I could have had a C4 SX Auto. Quote
CE08LDB Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 Here Attached is a Recent Brouchure of the C3 Range From August 2008 Now Removed The Attachment as there is New Model Trims out now which can also be seen at the same section as this Topic Quote
