downsman Posted February 23, 2008 Posted February 23, 2008 I,m getting a new C1 in 4 wks, but want to customise it. Can anyone tell me where I can get a bodykit and where to get it fitted in Devon please? Hi and welcome to the forum  I haven't done anything to my C1 yet, so I'm not speaking from experience. However, I've had a quick look at the Citroen site and they list: Tailgate spoiler £90Front spoiler and foglamp kit £330Alloy 14" wheels £127Aluminium gearknob £49.35Aluminuim look dashboard kit £133Chrome tailpipe £40 All these figures exclude fitting. You can have a look on the C1 site, I don't seem to be able to do a link directly to the page. There must be a selection of alternatives available, probably cheaper, but I have no idea if they affect the warranty. It's always a good idea to tell your insurer about even minor mods, but I'm sure you're aware of this :P Anyway, hope this is of help, and make sure you post some pics whatever you decide to do. ColinC1 Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 And don't forget the RHD passenger glove compartment lid to finish off the dash... £30. It only take a few minutes to fit, but makes a big difference to the cabin. It should have come as standard with the car, but it was not. Misserable sods  Quote
Trotsky Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 TAILGATE SPOILER I did not know these existed but may be very interested if they help keep the rear glass reasonably clean of the road spray that seems to instantly cover it - does anyone have experience of fitting one after normal use to say if they help ?I would recommend the front mudflaps as they reduce noticeably the road splash up the sides of the car, but not as effective as they need to be. ColinC1 Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 Remember you are not limited to just Citroen optional extras. There are many parts from the AYGO and Peug 107 that fit the C1. TAILGATE SPOILER I have seen two types of rear spoiler on these three makes of city bugs.AYGO do a rear spoiler that is bolted into the roof, and I have seen another type that seems to be fixed to the rear hinges (manufaturer unknown). SIDE PROTECTIONI never liked the thin side strips of the C1 rythm and the 107, so I opted for the AYGO side protecton kit for my 2 door C1 vibe, as it does not come with any side strips. 2 door Aygo side strips, costs around £65 from Toyota parts dept, and just stick on. Very easy to fit, and to me looks far better than what Citroen or Pueg offer  http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g293/greatchi/PICT0027.jpg http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g293/greatchi/PICT0024.jpg Quote
Guest mel Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 Hi thaks for the reply tips! I,m looking locally for a body kit shop etc, and have found a few. I think the foglights and front spoiler are really xpensive with citroen so may just buy the fog kit n diy it  Hi and welcome to the forum :) I haven't done anything to my C1 yet, so I'm not speaking from experience. Martin_1973_uk Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 Tailgate spoiler £90Front spoiler and foglamp kit £330Alloy 14" wheels £127Aluminium gearknob £49.35Aluminuim look dashboard kit £133Chrome tailpipe £40 The Tailgate Spoiler does look the part. The car I test drove had this with stripes down the centre of the bodywork which looked effective. Is that £127 per wheel? The gearknob looks good, but a bit pricey although I tried fitting a third party one but it looked naff as the stem is very long. Might be tempted to do some stuff at my first service....... Quote
