I have just bought a 2.2 EX se for £3,000 - 60.000on Nov. 02. Replaced eolys plus box 531 euros. One stud drilled and replaced Citroen garage here in France. Quote for one tyre from Citroen 300euros, best price was from Speedy - (Kwik Fit uk).two for 444.80E, inclusive. On the 1700 mile trip back from U.K ave 36 mpg, have since replaced air filter that was full, oil and fuel filters changed, and engine oil. Hoping to improve on this when I return in March . To re- register in France the xenons do need replacing, I had mine looked at by the Autosur (mot station to you) and they do kick up. 618 euros each. The best price I have found so far is 700e.plus 20%tax per pair . Still where do you get 25grand of car for that price?, My Ren Scenic worth the same price for same year second hand, but cost 11grand new. Had to remove the sat nav cd to clean, also used cd and cleaner, and it now seems to work ok. Overall I am pleased with the car. Insurance here in France is 540 euros full com including break down cover.

I enjoy reading other peoples' comments and experiences.

Bry. Have just had the new lamps fitted 56.60 euros plus Mot 59 euros total inc 121,60 managed to get one lamp for170 e, another 618inc, no left hand ones on e bay wonder why.

Have oil leaking from inter cooler will this effect any thing

you will always get a small amount of oil in your intercooler. i have never removed one that has'nt but if theres oil leaking from it air will be aswell and that will reduce boost pressure resulting in lack of power and most probably economy. dont worry about the oil unless theres exess smoke from your exhaust but find the leak. the small rubber pipe that connects the turbo the the plastic pipe have a habbit of splitting on these but if its coming from your intercooler it could be a loose pipe clip. can you not hear a strange noise when you rev the car.

[thanks for the reply there seems to be oil pooling on the bottem plate and on the bottem third of the cooler so must be a leak as the pipes seem dry is it a easy replacement looks it response is slow when pulling away compared to my 80 Ren Scinic which will pull away on tick over up my drive c5 needs revs will change it any way will go on ebay Thanks again Bry

Hi Bry

I had the same problem in july 06. Intercooler was shot so replaced it with one from Autofast Motor Factors- dirt cheap and identical to original (came from Holland). Phone I believe was 02083900777.Cost at the time was £128 inc vat & delivery. At that price I thought it wasn't worth the agg of trying to fix it!

Hope this helps

Regards

Frank
