Hook Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 My horn hasn't worked since i bought my car yesterday! Its a 52 plate C3 hdi.I have looked in the maual and can't find a reference to a fuse. Does anybody know if there is a fuse for this? Thanks RegThe horn fuse is in the underbonnet fuse box. It is shown as fuse F13 15amp and is listed in the handbook as 'warning' and not 'horn' which is probably what is confusing you.Hope this sorts it. Quote
stimulator Posted February 26, 2008 Posted February 26, 2008 True the horn is connected to the battery via Fuse F13 engine bay box, but there is also a relay shown on the diagramhich is operated by the systems interface. The following fuses are in that pathinterior boxMF5 80A but that would also show up other errorsF4 20A steering whel switches, clock , radioF14 10A steering wheel switches clock airbag If it's not a fuse then the switch may be at fault. Gordo Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 Just as a bit of a thought on this, my 2002 C3's horn is a nightmare to get it to sound, it's almost as if the airbag centre is fouling slightly on the horn, you could try pressing the horn panels at different areas of the steering wheel to find the correct area for you. It's worse when someone pulls out on you and you need to warn them you are there (foreign truckers for example), the horn never seems to sound at that point but when you calmly try to press it firmly at the correct part - it works. stimulator Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 Don't think a foreign trucker would hear it above the noise in his cab? Quote
