Turbofan Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 C5 washers have packed up, leaving me peering through a smeary screen into low winter sun! Yeeuch!!Plenty of fluid. Fuse F14(underbonnet fuse box) checked OK. Any one know where the washer motor is or how to access it? I see the panel above the washer bottle is secured with star socketed fixings so, presumably, this is not intended to be easily accessed. Is there anything else I should have looked at? Any suggestions welcomed. Quote
myglaren Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 This is a frequently asked question on the forums, your best bet is to read through the posts to see the various solutions proffered, depending on the cause of the problem. First off I'd get someone to listen for the pump running while you operate the washer control. Also, if an estate, try the rear screen wash - can have some amusing results. Quote

If the rear pump is working swap the pipes for a temporary fix. Not a long job to replace the pump, just awkward.Good luck Quote
iannez Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 if it a newish facelift model check fuse f3 under bonnet. Quote
