Central Locking Problems.

Hi. Can anyone help me to pinpoint a central locking problem please?

I press the lock button on the key fob and immediatley it unlocks.

All the doors and tail gate (its an estate) are closed.

There is a problem with the rear wiper which works when it feels like it and somtimes when applying the brakes! Could this be causing the C/L problem as well.

I have a similar problem, the remote locking doesn't work at all. And the rear wiper goes when I press the break. However. Breaking hard seems to stop it happening. Not sure if there's a loose wire or some water's shorting something. Quite confusing though.

 

Any clues or similar problems?

Can't help with the c/l problem but I have had experience of trouble with rear end wiring on my Xsara estate.

The wiring to the tailgate (wash/wipe, no.plate light, high level brake light) was broken and shorted together inside the rubber tube thingy at the top right corner of the tailgate. This was causing the same sort of problems.

Real pain to thread new wires through but got it done eventually and it's been all right since.
