siedog Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 i have a 98 saxo vtr and i have noticed water coming in through the sun roof seal (not sure if its related to the following) first thing to go was the power steering and the heater fans. i went to the pump as i thought it had failed but found there is no power going to the connection to the pump, so i checked and changed the relay and still no joy. Now the cooling fan has failed so the car is over heating some one please help. i am a mechanic but have little experience with cars i work on hgv and plant. Quote
iannez Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 one of the switched lives from you ignition barrel has gone down mate. remove the cowls and check both wires in the brown plug with the ignition on. both should be live but you will probably find one is'nt. you can fit a new barrel or splice and solder a link between both these wires for a quick cheap fix. iannez Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 are the cooling fans working now. is the top radiator hose getting hot. are you sure there is no air in the system. never had to change a water pump on a saxo but would'nt rule it out. Quote
